Tony is an educator specialising in the education of the professions and in the design and evaluation of programs. He has been associated with the education and training of Diversional Therapists for over twenty five years.

Dr Koop is an Honorary Fellow of the College of Nursing, a past member of the Education Committee of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and the immediate past President of the Lane Cove Community Aid Service. He is a consultant to a range of organisations including the DTAANC, Australian Catholic University, Redleaf College of Professional Education and Mental Illness Education Queensland.
